Wendy Braun

Wendy Allison Braun (born April 5, 1970 in Northbrook , Illinois ) is an American actress .

Life

Braun attended Maple Junior High in Northbrook, where she played in her first theater performances. She then attended Glenbrook South High School, where she appeared in performances of West Side Story , The Sound of Music and Hello, Dolly , among others . After studying at Indiana University , she moved to Los Angeles .

She made her television debut in 1995, her feature film debut followed three years later in the cult film The Big Lebowski . However, it was little more than an extra role without a name in the credits. She starred in independent films such as 30, Single, Contemplating Suicide, and On the Turning Away and appeared in commercials. In 2001 she starred in the role of nurse Tate in the comedy Evolution , and her other films include Spanglish , Big Mama's House 2 and A Perfect Getaway .

In addition to numerous guest roles in successful television series such as Lost , Navy CIS and Criminal Minds , she gained a certain prominence among US television audiences through her recurring role of Ms. Iris Sneed , which she played in the General Hospital series and the spin-off between 2006 and 2008 General Hospital: Night Shift played.

Braun has been married to actor Joshua Cox since 2007, and the marriage resulted in two children. Her brother works as a cameraman . Her mother was also in show business, she was the presenter of a children's program on local Chicago television.
