Werner Kiem (born November 30, 1962 ) is a former Italian biathlete and today's sports official.

Werner Kiem has been participating in biathlon world cup competitions since the first half of the 1980s . He collected his first points in 1985 as 22nd of a single in Lahti . A little later he ran as Sprint 19. for the first time among the best 20. At the Biathlon World Championships 1985 in Ruhpolding he reached 30th place in the individual and was 34th in the sprint. In 1986 he achieved his best result in an individual race in fifth place at the World Championships at Holmenkollen in Oslo . He also won bronze in the relay race with Gottlieb Taschler , Johann Passler and Andreas Zingerle . The 1987 Biathlon World Championships in Lake Placid he finished 20th in the individual. The 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary were very successful for the Italian. In the individual he only reached place 43, together with Taschler, Passler and Zingerle he won the bronze medal as the starting runner of the relay. Again Kiem achieved a good result at the Biathlon World Championships in 1989 in Feistritz together with Wilfried Pallhuber , Simon Demetz and Hubert Leitgeb as fourth in the team race. In 1989 he ended his career.

Kiem is currently Vice President of the ASV Latsch Raiffeisen toboggan club (and was previously President) and Vice President of the Fédération Internationale de Luge de Course . As President of the Organizing Committee, he was responsible for organizing the Natural Track Luge World Championships 2005 in Latsch .
