Werner Müller (politician, 1900)

Werner August Wilhelm Müller (born July 29, 1900 in Pankow near Berlin ; † December 16, 1955 ) was a German lawyer and politician.

Life

Müller studied law and political science at the University of Königsberg , where he was awarded a doctorate on July 31, 1923. jur. PhD. The topic of his dissertation was the previous development of the police concept with special consideration of the welfare purpose . From 1926 to 1928 he was a court assessor at the district court of Berlin I. He then worked in the city administration and was appointed magistrate and later senior magistrate.

After 1945, Müller was general consultant in the building and housing sector, and from 1949 head magistrate director of the legal department. In 1951 Müller was appointed Senator for the Interior in the first West Berlin Senate under the Social Democratic Governing Mayor Ernst Reuter . He was also a member of the CDU-led successor senate under Walther Schreiber , but then stepped down on November 20, 1953. From 1954 until his death in 1955, Müller was President of the Berlin Administrative Court .

Müller was married and had one child.
