Leslie Shirley from Volted Magazine praised the musical skills of all the musicians in the band throughout the length of the album and described the album as fantastic throughout. The album was also well received by Reviews from the Cave . The reviewer described the clearly sung parts as heavenly, but the screamed pieces got the full attention. The reviewer described the musical sound as fitting, both to the clean and to the screamed parts of the album, which was unexpected for the critics.
Punktastic's Hannah Park said that the dynamics of the entire album set the band apart from other post-hardcore bands today . She compares the group's music to bands like Bring Me the Horizon and Memphis May Fire . Park predicts that Dayseeker could become a big band on the scene in the near future, should they continue to create this kind of music. Sebastian Valks of the Dutch Smash Press attributed musical resemblance to groups like Northlane and Periphery to the group.
Shrum from New Noise Magazine describes that the tempo changes within the individual songs support Rory Rodriguez's vocals appropriately and thus come into their own. In the gutturally performed pieces, he equates the singing of Rodriguez with At the Skylines , while he describes the voice in clearly sung parts as soul- inspired. Cody Endres describes the album a little more calmly. He writes that the pieces are not considered embarrassing and praises the creativity that the musicians display.
