The Whinlatter Pass is a mountain pass in the Lake District , Cumbria , England . The B5292 leads over the pass.

The pass is 300 m high and is bordered in the south by Grisedale Pike and in the north by Lord's Seat . The road runs through Whinlatter Forest Park and on the road near the top of the pass is the Whinlatter Forest Visitor Center.

The pass was already used by the Romans and, due to its low incline, has long been a popular viewpoint over the Lake District that can also be reached by horse and cart.
