Wiarden is a district of the municipality of Wangerland in the district of Friesland in the north of Lower Saxony .
geography
The village of Wiarden is located in Jeverland . The North Sea coast is 6 kilometers to the north. The jade with access to the North Sea flows east 5 kilometers away. The place is 14 kilometers north of Wilhelmshaven , 2 kilometers west of the road that leads from Wilhelmshaven via Hooksiel to Horumersiel and Schillig .

The Evangelical Lutheran Church of St. Cosmas and Damian is said to have existed as early as 1164. It is a Romanesque granite block building , including remains of wall paintings from the 13th century.
