How would you like it? is a 1982 German comedy film by Rolf von Sydow with Robert Atzorn , Jutta Speidel and Horst Janson in the leading roles.

action

Olaf works as a screenwriter and is brooding over a new manuscript, which means that his wife, the doctor Julia, will soon be neglected. He's not so wrong with young blondes, because she really wants to go on a trip. As a straw widower at home alone, the author soon gets bored, and so Olaf decides to experience for himself what he usually puts on paper as an exciting story: live and in color and, above all, very real. So why not go overboard and take advantage of the newly gained freedom?

His “wild” way of life includes some more or less harmless escapades that Julia, who, according to the laws of this film genre, returns earlier than expected, does not find funny at all. She soon suspects that her husband has violated the worst (of an erotic nature), and so Julia decides to get back at her husband by opening up on her travel acquaintance Jack. What she doesn't suspect, however: on the night when Julia believed that Olaf had something with the call girl Nelly, he was actually sitting behind Swedish curtains. Various other misunderstandings follow before they are resolved in the turbulent finale and the lovers find each other again.

Reviews

“Horst Janson, who is rarely seen in the cinema, and his colleague Robert Atzorn seem to be quite comfortable in the genre of light comedy, although they have to be careful that the versatile Jutta Speidel does not steal the show. By the way, author Manfred Purzer was inspired by the English tabloid comedy 'Bedside Manners', which means 'bed manners'. "

- Cinema 4/1983, p. 52

“A woman returns from a trip earlier than expected and finds her husband in the apartment with a call girl - which is a misunderstanding and sets in motion a turbulent game of confusion about love, jealousy and eventual reconciliation. Comedy staged with a sense of situation comedy. "

"Playful actors, plenty of situation comedy ."
