Wielki Klincz (German Groß Klinsch , Kashubian Wiôldżi Klińcz ) is a place in the Gmina Kościerzyna ( Berent ) in the powiat Kościerski in the Pomeranian Voivodeship in northern Poland with about 2100 inhabitants. Wielki Klincz is located about 8 km east of Kościerzyna and 47 km southwest of Gdansk . The place forms a Sołectwo ( Schulzenamt ) with the villages Gościeradz, Graniczny Młyn and Jeziorki.

history

The manor Groß Klinsch was first mentioned in 1295 with a privilege as a noble estate. By 1357 at the latest, Groß Klinsch was owned by the family v. Rautenberg-Klinski . In the interest and service register of the Ordensvogtei Dirschau from 1437/38, Groß Klinsch was mentioned as a service item under Polish law. Until 1567 the manor remained in the possession of the family v. Rautenberg-Klinski. In 1570 Groß Klinsch comprised 26 hooves . There was also a mill and a gardener. For the year 1599 family v. Stojentin-Waglikowski attested as the owner. At that time the estate comprised 40 hooves and 10 farmers. In 1682 Groß Klinsch was owned by the family v. Mokierski, which was meanwhile also owned by Waglikowice ( Funkelkau ). 12 acres of the usable agricultural area were now fallow. Nine gardeners and a mill with two small wheels belonged to the manor. Around the year 1752, large and small Klinsch with Targets ( Zelenin ) and Waglikowice were lost as a unit in the Gotartowskische bankruptcy. In 1745 a Casimir v. Bieberstein-Zawadzki Groß Klintsch from the siblings Joseph, Cäcilia and Marianna v. Wyssocki and was still owned by the v. Family in 1772, when the West Prussian nobility pays homage to the Brandenburg-Prussian crown. Zawadzki.
