Wigger of Verden

Wigger von Verden († August 16, 1031 ) was Bishop of Verden from 1013 to 1031 .

As head of the ecclesiastical province of Mainz , Erkanbald consecrated Wigger as bishop.

Wigger was first provost of the Cologne cathedral chapter . He took part in various church meetings. Among them was the Synod of Frankfurt in 1027 . In 1028 he consecrated the newly built cathedral in Verden .
