Wikimania is the name of an international conference that has been organized by the Wikimedia Foundation every year since 2005 at different locations.

Content

The event, often referred to in the press as the “Wikipedia Annual Meeting”, is designed as a communication forum for active community members, scientists and technicians, where the future strategies of the various Wiki media projects can be discussed together.

New technical approaches, the strategic orientation of the projects, new applications and cooperation, quality assurance measures, licensing issues as well as current developments and the public perception of the projects are regularly discussed.
