Wilberforce Talel

Wilberforce Talel (born January 10, 1980 in the Marakwet District ) is a Kenyan long-distance runner .

Life

At the Cross Country World Championships he was fifth in 2000 and third in the long distance in 2002 and won gold with the team. Also in 2002, he introduced the half marathon -Bewerb the Salzburg Marathon with 1:01:17 h the current course record and won at the Commonwealth Games in Manchester over 10,000 m .

In 2003 he was sixth over the same distance at the World Athletics Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis . At the World Cross Country Championships 2004 he was tenth, at the World Cross Country Championships 2005 eleventh; both times he won silver with the team.

After finishing fourth at the Delhi Half Marathon in 2005, he made his full-distance debut at the 2007 Vienna City Marathon and finished seventh. In the same year he finished fifth in the Portugal Half Marathon .

Wilberforce Talel is married, trains himself and is looked after by Posso Sports .
