It is Harry and Tamara’s 18th wedding anniversary. In the morning in bed they listen together on the radio to hear Harry's favorite song How Deep Is Your Love for Tamara. Then they unpack gift packages. Tamara notices that Harry gave her the same video camera that he asked for and got from her. The little daughter's rabbit breaks out and Harry catches him on the street. One car has to swerve and drive into another. Harry works at the "PLUS-Bank", where he is taking his son Elian with him today, who is starting an internship there. Elian quits after a few minutes, actually thinking of an acting career. Regardless of this, Harry is released, which he is hiding from Tamara. After a few weeks it will be financially tight. Harry accepts the offer of his best friend Kai Hahn, a pilot and bachelor, to stay with his family. When he goes shopping with him, the charming Kai prevents the police maid Swantje from giving him a ticket by telling her that Harry is a pilot in a hurry who only fetched milk with a coffee. Swantje is very into uniforms and crumples up the parking ticket. She has great interest in the alleged pilot and suggests a joint flight to Rome when they happen to meet again. Harry is thrilled and sees it as an opportunity to gain approval as a man and get back on his feet in work and marriage. He borrows a uniform and free flight tickets from Kai and starts the adventure. He tells Tamara that he is doing “weekend therapy for people with cracked self-confidence”. The wrong pilot is found in Rome when he has just bought a condom. Swantje immediately loses all interest, Harry gets to know Sabine the next day and accompanies her to her hotel room. When they fall into bed, he stops and says, "I can't."
Elian works as a waiter to finance his career aspiration. Tamara finds Kai more and more sympathetic and they have sex. Returning Harry confesses to his wife his false therapy that he wanted to cheat but couldn't. Now he has new plans to set up his own business, receives a loan from his former bank and is looking for a new apartment when he learns from Elian of Tamara's affair. In affect he hits Kai in the face. Harry and Tamara speak out.
The film ends with Harry and Tamara’s 19th wedding anniversary in their new apartment. In the morning in bed they listen to the desired track How Deep Is Your Love by Tamara for Harry on the radio and unwrap gifts that are identical again. Little Valentina's rabbit breaks out again.

TV Spielfilm judged: “It's great that the family film takes up the serious issue of unemployment.” And gives a horizontal thumb.
