Wildschütz is a district of the municipality Mockrehna in the district of North Saxony (Saxony).
geography
The place Wildschütz is located southeast of the main town Mockrehna on the county road 8983 between the towns of Eilenburg and Torgau . The federal highway 87 and the Halle – Cottbus railway line run north of the village . In terms of the type of settlement, Wildschütz is a street perch village .
history
Wildschütz was first mentioned in a document in 1201. On January 1, 1999, the Wildschütz community was incorporated into Mockrehna.

- Quarry and quarry lake Wildschütz . The deepest lake in northern and central Germany with a depth of 74 m. As a former quarry, the lake is designated as a mining area and may only be entered and dived through a private diving school . Another attraction is the underwater station, which is nine meters deep.
Culture
The Wildschütz volunteer fire brigade has been in existence in Wildschütz since 1902 , a sports club since 1975 and a homeland club since 1993. Every year in June the Lindenfest takes place as a village festival.
