Wilhelm Gottlieb Becker (born November 4, 1753 in Obercallenberg ; † June 3, 1813 in Dresden ) was a fiction writer and art writer.

Life

Wilhelm Gottlieb Becker taught at the Philanthropinum Dessau from 1776 and became a professor at the Knight Academy in Dresden in 1782 . In 1795 he was given the supervision of the Dresden Antikengalerie and the Münzkabinett and, since 1805, united them over the Green Vault . He died on June 3, 1813 in Dresden.
