Wilhelm Rischbieter
Wilhelm Albert Rischbieter (born July 20, 1834 in Braunschweig , † February 11, 1910 in Dresden ) was a German violinist , music teacher , composer and lecturer at the Royal Conservatory for Music in Dresden.
Life
Rischbieter was a student of the composer and violinist Moritz Hauptmann at the Leipzig Conservatory . From 1862 to 1900 he taught violin, harmony and counterpoint at the Dresden Conservatory . Well-known students from his time emerged there, such as the Dresden choir director and composer Hugo Richard Jüngst and Hermann Vetter , who later became a professor at the same institute. Rischbieter published numerous music theoretical essays that emerged over the course of his years as a music teacher. He published several articles in the Allgemeine Musikische Zeitung and the Neue Zeitschrift für Musik .
