Wilhelm Schubart (lawyer)

Wilhelm Schubart (born September 26, 1808 in Heggbach , † January 23, 1884 in Stuttgart ) was a German lawyer , administrative clerk and senior magistrate , comparable to a current district administrator . He was also a member of the state parliament.

Life

Wilhelm Schubart, the son of wine merchant Karl Schubart and Theresia Gulde, visited the elementary school in Laupheim , the Latin School in Biberach and the top high school in Ellwangen . He then completed training as a clerk in the law firms of Ehingen and Blaubeuren . After the lower service examination in 1831, Schubart studied law and camera science at the University of Tübingen from 1832 to 1834 . He passed the higher service examination in 1833. In 1834 he became senior actuary at the Rottenburg District Office , in 1835 at the Nagold District Office and in 1839 with the Tuttlingen District Office . He then worked for a short time as an unskilled worker in the government of the Black Forest district in Reutlingen . In 1840 he became senior administrator at the Nagold District Office, in 1841 assistant to the government of the Danube District in Ulm and finally Senior Administrator at the Wiblingen District Office . In 1841 Schubart was appointed chief administrator and, from 1842, chief administrator at the district authority in Wangen .

In 1843 he married Bertha Friederike Louise Engel (1824–1891), the daughter of Nagold's chief magistrate Ludwig Friedrich Engel . From 1845 to 1848 he was a member of the second chamber of the Württemberg state parliament for the Wiblingen (Laupheim) district. In 1850 he became head of office at Neckarsulm , in 1858 at Oberndorf and in 1871 at Ravensburg . There he was retired in 1877. Schubart died on January 23, 1884. He was buried in the Fangelsbach cemetery in Stuttgart .

Awards

In 1872 Schubart was awarded the Knight's Cross 2nd Class of the Order of the Württemberg Crown .
