Willi Vogl

Willi Vogl (born December 3, 1961 in Reichertshofen ) is a German composer , teacher and university professor .

Life

Vogl was born in Reichertshofen in 1961 and grew up in Karlskron . From 1983 to 1989 he studied composition with Alfred Koerppen and clarinet with Hans Deinzer at the Hanover University of Music and Theater . He then studied composition with Heinz Winbeck at the University of Music in Würzburg for two years .

From 1992 to 2008 he worked as a teacher for composition , music theory , ear training , clarinet and chamber music at the Latina August Hermann Francke . In addition, he received teaching assignments at the Evangelical College for Church Music in Halle and at the Music Education Institute of the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg . In 2004 he was composer in residence at the International Merz Society. Vogl has been a freelance composer since 2008. Other key areas of work are the conception and management of musical and literary projects and composition competitions as well as lecturing in composition and chamber music courses in Germany and abroad. So far he has composed more than 70 works, including a. were performed by the Staatskapelle Halle , the Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra , the Georgian Chamber Orchestra Ingolstadt , the Ensemble Sortisatio and the Saxon Vocal Ensemble .
