William N. Panzer

William Norton "Bill" Panzer (born September 6, 1942 in New York City , † March 18, 2007 in Sun Valley , Idaho ) was an American television and film producer .

Life

Panzer studied at Princeton University and the New York Tisch School of the Arts .

William Panzer was best known for the Highlander films he produced and their offshoots, such as the television series of the same name, Highlander, or the Highlander cartoon series. At Highlander II - The Return (1991) and Highlander III - The Legend (1994) and Highlander: Endgame (2000), he also wrote the stories. Another well-known film produced by Panzer is The Osterman Weekend , 1983 (directed by Sam Peckinpah ). Panzer was also one of the producers of the thriller The Blonde Beast - When Mother's Love Is Blind (2000).

He produced many of his films together with Peter S. Davis , with whom he founded Davis-Panzer Productions.

In 1996 he was nominated for Highlander for Best Dramatic TV Series along with others at the Gemini Award .

Panzer died on March 17, 2007 at the age of 64 as a result of a fall while skating. He left his wife Priscilla. Panzer's last film was Highlander: The Source of Immortality .
