Williamsville is a city in Erie County in the state of New York in the United States of America . The village was named after Jonas Williams, a settler at the time. The Iroquois called the area " Many Waterfalls" .

Location and history

The village was founded in 1850 and has the peculiarity that it belongs to the territory of two cities. The majority of the village is in Amherst and a small part in Cheektowaga in northwest Erie County.
