Willian Denilson Venâncio Dourado (born January 6, 1994 in Penápolis ) is a Brazilian shot putter .

Athletic career

Willian Dourado gained his first international experience at the Junior South American Championships in Resistencia , where he won the silver medal with the 6 kg ball with a width of 18.39 m. The following year he also won the silver medal at the U23 South American Championships in Montevideo with 17.61 m, and in 2016 he won the U23 South American Championships in Lima with 18.99 m. Before that, he won the bronze medal at the Ibero-American Championships in Rio de Janeiro with a stroke of 18.96 m behind his compatriot Darlan Romani and Marco Fortes from Portugal. In 2017 he won the silver medal at the South American Championships in Luque with 19.95 m and had to give up his compatriot Romani there. He then took part in the Summer Universiade in Taipei for the first time , where he finished seventh with 19.25 m. Two years later he won the silver medal behind Romani again at the South American Championships in Lima with 19.09 m and was then fourth at the Student World Games in Naples with 19.99 m. In 2020 he won the first-ever indoor South American championships in Cochabamba with a width of 19.09 m.
