Wimmer is a district of the Lower Saxon community Bad Essen in the district of Osnabrück in Lower Saxony .

geography

The place is four kilometers northeast of the core area of Bad Essen. The Mittelland Canal runs on the northern edge of the village .

history

On December 1, 1910, the place had 804 inhabitants. On July 1, 1972, the municipality , which had previously been part of the Wittlage district, was incorporated into the new municipality of Bad Essen as part of the regional reform .
