Winston Morales Chavarro (* 1969 in Neiva , Huila ) is a Colombian poet, writer and journalist.

Life

Winston Morales Chavarro holds a Masters Degree in Hispanic American Literature from the Universidad Andina Simón Bolívar of Quito .

He is a professor at the Universidad de Cartagena . In his critical literary treatises he tries to interpret some of the most important poetry of the 20th century in Latin America , including those of José Antonio Ramos Sucre , Carlos Obregon , Cécar Dávila Andrade and Jaime Sáenz . His poems deal with the mystery of human life and the history of myth in literary terms.

Invitations and honors took him on his literary travels a. a. to America, Europe and Asia. He achieved many successes and recognitions in the world of literature. His works have been translated into French, Italian, English, Polish, German, Romanian and Chinese and included in various national and international collections of poetry.

He has given lectures and lectures at the following universities: Universidad de Antioquia , Universidad Surcolombiana and Universidad de Cartagena ; University of Szczecin , University of Krakow , University of Warsaw , University of Wroclaw , University of Grünberg and University of Poznan (Poland); Harvard University , University of California , Salem University , Merrimack College and Northern Essex Community College (USA); Universidad de Sonora (Mexico) and Universidad de Granada (Spain).
