To general studies collected. The new university comprised the faculties of theology, the arts ( artes ) and canon law.
In recent years, the university has experienced the most dynamic growth in its 480-year history. This was made possible by the University Reform Act (LRU) and the university's autonomy, which made a freer interpretation of moral and ethical principles possible. In this way, the area of stem cell research could be expanded into a world-leading institute. Around 80,000 people work or study at the University of Granada.
