Vierbach is a district of the municipality of Wehretal in the Werra-Meißner district in northern Hesse .
Geographical location
The village of Vierbach is located in the Vierbach valley between the Komberg ( 410 m above sea level ) in the north, the Wernersberg ( 378.1 m ) in the northeast, the Dachsberg ( 395.7 m ) in the south-southwest and the Zungenkopf ( 390.2 m) ) in the south East. State road 3243 runs through it , which leads from Germerode through Vierbach to Reichensachsen .
history
Vierbach did not come into being until December 6, 1935. As a result, the two places Wipperode and Bernsdorf were combined to form the new municipality of Vierbach.
Wipperode was first mentioned in a document in 980 under the place name Wicbrahterod . The current church was built in 1863.
Bernsdorf first appears in a document as Berharsdorf in 1195 .
The two places Vierbache and Brausmühle no longer exist today.
On October 1, 1971, Vierbach was incorporated into the neighboring community of Reichensachsen as part of the regional reform in Hesse . This went on December 31, 1971 in the new municipality of Wehretal.
Association
There is a volunteer fire brigade, a local tourist association and the Blau-Weiß Vierbach sports club, founded in 1926, which currently includes a gymnastics and table tennis department.
