Traken Voivodeship

The province Traken (lat. Palatinatus Trocensis , modern lit. Trakų vaivadija , Polish. Województwo Trockie ) was an administrative region from 1413 in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania , around the former capital Traken (Lithuanian today Trakai ). and from 1569 to 1795 in Poland-Lithuania . The first leader ( voivode ) was Jaunius Valimantaitis (1380-1432). The voivodship was represented by delegates in the Senate. It was dissolved in 1795.
