Wolfgang Beilner

Wolfgang Beilner (born February 8, 1931 in Vienna ) is an Austrian Roman Catholic priest and theologian .

Life

After graduating from high school in 1949, Beilner attended the seminary of the Archdiocese of Vienna . He was ordained a priest on June 29, 1954 , and on December 9, 1966, he was appointed full professor of biblical studies of the New Testament at the University of Salzburg , which he headed from 1979 to 1981 and from 1981 to 1983 as rector . He retired in the 1997 summer semester . From 1984 to 1999, he taught the New Testament at the Heiligenkreuz University of Applied Sciences.
