Hans Wagner (historian)
Hans Wagner (* 1921 in Graz ; † 1990 ) was an Austrian historian .
Life
He studied German , English and history in Munich and Vienna . In Vienna he attended the 44th training course at the Institute for Austrian Historical Research . After several years of work for the Burgenland provincial government (Burgenland record book), Wagner joined the Austrian State Archives in 1953 . In 1961 he completed his habilitation under Alphons Lhotsky at the Philosophical Faculty of the University of Vienna. From 1966 he taught as a professor for Austrian history at the University of Salzburg .
