Wolfgang Panuschka

Wolfgang Panuschka (born September 3, 1942 in Vöcklabruck ) is an Austrian sculptor , painter , graphic artist and restorer .

Live and act

Panuschka completed his training as a sculptor and restorer at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna from 1961 to 1970 with Hans Andre , Helmut Kortan and Joannis Avramidis and studied architecture at the Technical University of Vienna .

He then specialized in the restoration of stucco and frescoes and expanded his skills during a stay abroad in Florence . Between 1977 and 1984 he worked on the restoration of ancient frescoes in Ephesus for two months on behalf of the Archaeological Institute of the University of Vienna .

In addition to restoration jobs, he devoted himself to painting with oil , acrylic and watercolor and the production of small sculptures from iron, plastic, wood and paper.

The studio of the freelance artist is located in the Mennerhaus in Zell am Pettenfirst , where studio parties occasionally take place. He presents his works in solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad. He is a member of the Upper Austrian Art Association . Panuschka has been married to Gertrude since 1976.
