Wolfgang Rausch (born April 30, 1947 in Aachen ) is a former German football player .

Career

From the age of 14 to 18, Rausch learned to play football in the youth department of 1. FC Cologne and, at the age of 18, received a license player contract with the Bundesliga club . In his first professional season, 1965/66 , he came to three missions; for the first time on February 26, 1966 (23rd matchday) in the 1: 2 defeat in the away game against Werder Bremen . National team

Rausch was used in the only two games of the U-23 national team in 1967: On May 3rd, he made his debut in Mönchengladbach in a 3-1 victory over Czechoslovakia and on November 22nd he played in Saarbrücken at 1: 1 draw against the selection of Romania.
