Women's Cricket World Cup 1973
The 1973 Women's Cricket World Cup was the first ever women's cricket world cup . It was held in England from June 20 to July 28, 1973. The winner was the team from England , who beat Australia in the final with 92 runs.

Participants were five national teams as well as a youth selection from England and an international selection.

The preliminary round was held in different cricket stadiums in England and Wales. The final took place at Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham .

The preliminary round was held in a group with the seven teams involved. The two group leaders then played the world champions among themselves in the final. So there were a total of 21 games.
