Wonder of Women is an American film drama from 1929. The screenplay is based on the novel Die Frau des Steffen Tromholt by the German writer Hermann Sudermann .
action
Stephen Tromholt is a German concert pianist whose temperament has made him world famous. He is constantly on tour around the world. He met Brigitte on a train ride. Brigitte is a widow and a responsible mother of three children. The two fall in love, Stephen manages to get Brigitte to marry him at the next stop on the train.
Brigitte and Stephen build a house by the sea. Stephen is not the domestic type and is often out and about, often accompanied by his former lover, Karen. It is only on his wife's deathbed that Stephen realizes with what dedication and unshakable loyalty Brigitte has served her husband.

At the second Academy Awards in 1930 , Bess Meredyth was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Screenplay category.
