history

According to Adam Fastnacht , the village existed as an ethnic Polish settlement before 1340, in the time of the Principality of Halych-Volodymyr , but it was first mentioned in 1424 as Wroczonky or Vroczanka . The place name, originally Wroconka (1429, 1427: Vroczonka ), is of Polish origin (has no Ruthenian or Ukrainian properties). In 1441 it was named super Wroczinicze , in 1485 Wroczenka .

In the 15th century the area was partially settled by forest Germans and the Nazi historian Kurt Lück described Wrocanka as a German village , but the researchers Adam Fastnacht and Wojciech Blajer saw individual German surnames in the 15th and early 16th centuries as insufficient evidence final assessment.

During the first partition of Poland in 1772, Wrocanka became part of the new Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria of the Habsburg Empire (from 1804). From 1855 Wrocanka belonged to the Krosno District .

After the end of the First World War and the collapse of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, Wrocanka became part of Poland in 1918. This was only interrupted by the occupation of Poland by the Wehrmacht in World War II . From 1975 to 1998 Wrocanka was part of the Krosno Voivodeship .
