The Gmina Miejsce Piastowe is a rural municipality in the Powiat Krośnieński of the Subcarpathian Voivodeship in Poland . Its seat is the village of the same name with around 2100 inhabitants.
geography
The municipality is located in the Sanok lowlands and borders in the north on the district town of Krosno .
The state roads DK 28 , which connects Zator via Nowy Sącz with Przemyśl , and DK 19 from Kuźnica via Rzeszów to Barwinek run through its main town .
history
In the 15th century the municipality was partially settled by forest Germans. According to the researchers Adam Fastnacht and Wojciech Blajer near Głowienka, Miejsce, Rogi and Wrocanka there is no evidence for German villages .
From 1975 to 1998 the municipality belonged to the Krosno Voivodeship .
