Yannick Alléno (born December 6, 1968 in Puteaux ) is a French chef whose restaurants have been awarded the top three-star rating in the Michelin Guide several times .

Life

Alléno was born in Puteaux near Paris into a family of cooks . He helped his mother in the kitchen when he was a child.

In 1999, Alléno took second place in the Bocuse d'Or World Cooking Championship , before becoming the head chef of the restaurant in the Hôtel Le Meurice in the 1st arrondissement of Paris in 2003, making him the supervisor of a 74-strong team. Under his kitchen management, the restaurant was initially rated with two Michelin stars , which was followed by the top rating of three stars in 2007.

In 2008, with Florence Cane, ex-director of Groupe Ducasse , he founded Groupe Yannick Alléno , whose restaurants are grouped into three main concepts: Alléno, STAY and Terroir Parisiénne. The group includes 16 restaurants in five destinations with 1200 employees. Alléno is now also head of the STAY restaurant of the Signiel Seoul luxury hotel in the Lotte World Tower , which opened in 2017 in the capital of South Korea.
