Yasmina Hunzinger

Yasmina Hunzinger (born June 6, 1977 in Basel , Switzerland ; artist name initially also: Yasmina ) is a Swiss- German singer and songwriter .

Life

Yasmina Hunzinger was born in Switzerland in 1977. Her mother is Swiss, her father German. She was introduced to music at an early age through her mother. Before her classical singing training, she gave her first singing lessons. Yasmina made her stage debut at concerts with her mother as a child and together with her she recorded a first album under the title Theresa and Yasmina .

At the age of 13 years Yasmina Hunzinger member was an a cappella - ensembles . At the same time she takes part in a performance of the children's opera Noah and the Flood by Benjamin Britten . From 1993 until his dissolution, Yasmina Hunzinger sang regularly in the Janz team's project choir One Accord and went on their summer tours.

At the insistence of her parents, Yasmina Hunzinger first learned the profession of hairdresser and then completed further training as an office clerk. In 2001 she moved to Germany to work as a freelance artist. So she sang on around 250 studio productions, and sang various concerts and appearances, including those of the Janz Team Missionswerk, and was part of various tours with other singers such as Anja Lehmann and Danny Plett .

In 2002 Danny Plett produced her first solo album Always And Forever . As a result, she received the Newcomer of the Year award at the Christian music fair Promikon in 2003 . Her second album, produced by Mark Smith , was released in 2006 with the title Little Things Ain't Always Small by Gerth Medien .

In July 2008 she won the international Cesme Song Contest in Turkey with her own song When you believe .

On the advice of her musician colleague Cae Gauntt , Yasmina Hunzinger took part in the first season of The Voice of Germany in 2011 and made it to the 4th live show. She was fourth on the Nena team.

On June 17, 2012, Yasmina Hunzinger could be seen as an act at Detlef Soost's D! S 10th World Competition Final at Movie Park Bottrop .

In 2013 she applied with the title I still believe to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest the following year . Ultimately, she was selected as one of six participants for the decision show, which aired on February 1 on SRF 1 , RTS Un and RSI LA 1 . There I still believe took second place behind the Ticino Sebalter and Hunter of Stars .

Yasmina Hunzinger, who is a professed Christian , currently lives in Cologne . In addition to her work as a singer, she works there as a songwriter and vocal coach .
