Yosiris Urrutia Chaverra (born June 26, 1986 in Apartadó ) is a Colombian long and triple jumper .

Athletic career

Yosiris Urrutia gained her first international experience at the Central American and Caribbean Games (CAC) 2010 in Mayagüez , where she finished tenth with a long jump of 5.84 m. The following year she was twelfth at the CAC championships there with a width of 5.69 m. In 2013 she won the silver medal in the triple jump behind Brazilian Keila Costa at the South American Championships in Cartagena, home with 13.92 m, and finished fifth in the long jump with 6.36 m. Then she won with a jump of 14.08 m at the Juegos Bolivarianos in Trujillo and also won the bronze medal in the long jump with 6.10 m. The following year, she won gold with 14.41 m at the Ibero-American Championships in São Paulo and won the bronze medal in the triple jump at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Xalapa with 13.89 m and was fifth with a width of 6.13 m in long jump.

In 2015 she won the bronze medal at the Pan American Games in Toronto with 14.38 m behind her compatriot Caterine Ibargüen and the Brazilian Costa. This also qualified her for the World Championships in Beijing , where she finished tenth with 14.09 m in the final . The following year she won the bronze medal at the Ibero-American Championships in Rio de Janeiro with 13.89 m and then took part in the Olympic Games there, where she was eliminated with 13.95 m in qualification . In 2017, she won the bronze medal at the South American Championships in Luque with 13.64 m behind the Brazilian Núbia Soares and Yulimar Rojas from Venezuela. Then she was fourth at the Juegos Bolivarianos in Santa Marta with 13.11 m and 6.03 m in the three and long jump. In 2018 she won the silver medal behind Ibargüen at the Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla with 14.48 m and then won the Ibero-American Championships in Trujillo with 14.4 m.

In 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2018, Urrutia became Colombian champion in the long jump and in 2018 also in the triple jump.
