The Zákolanský potok , on the upper reaches Dolanský potok , in sections also Okořský potok or Mlýnský potok , (German Zakolaner Bach , also Dollaner Bach ) is a left tributary of the Vltava in the Czech Republic .
course
The Dolanský potok rises at the northern exit of Pletený Újezd in the foothills of the Křivoklátská vrchovina ( Pürglitzer Uplands ). Its source is located at the eastern foot of the Kožová hora (456 m nm) on the Prague – Chomutov railway line . At its upper reaches the brook flows in an easterly direction past Malé Přítočno and Velké Přítočno to the Kladenská tabule ( Kladnoer Tafelland ). In Dolany , the Dolanský potok turns to the northeast. Its further course leads past Peklov, Hostouň , Žákův Mlýn, Běloky , Středokluky and Makrotrasy , where the R 7 expressway bridges the stream, which has been known as Zákolanský potok since the confluence of the Sulovský potok . The stream then flows into the Okolí Okoře Nature Park ; there are the places Kalingrův Mlýn, Velké Číčovice, Malé Číčovice, Okoř with the castle ruins of Okoř , Colorado, Višňovka and Dolský Mlýn in its increasingly deeper valley . At Nový Mlýn, the Praha – Most railway line crosses the Zákolanský potok on a viaduct. The stream flows north-westerly and later northwards past Podholí and Hole; on this section it will be bridged two more times by the Prague – Most railway line. South-east of Kováry, a slope to the right of Zákolanský potok has been protected as a nature reserve PP Kovárské stráně since 1987 because of the occurrence of heat-loving plants . The stream then leaves the Okolí Okoře Nature Park and flows past Kováry, the Budeč and Mozolín fortifications through Zákolany . On its lower reaches over the Perucká tabule ( Perutzer Tafelland ) the Zákolanský potok takes northeast direction. Passing Trněný Újezd and Otvovice , the stream in Minice reaches the urban area of Kralupy nad Vltavou . The natural monuments Otvovická skála and Minická skála are located on this section in the rocky valley of the stream . Then the Zákolanský potok flows past Mikovice, Sídliště V Zátiší, Sídliště Hůrka and Hostibejk to the center of Kralupy nad Vltavou, where the Prague – Děčín railway crosses the stream. After 28.2 km the Zákolanský potok joins the Vltava north of downtown Kralupy nad Vltavou at Sídliště U Cukrovaru next to the Masaryk Bridge .
Between Nový Mlýn and Zákolany, the Prague – Most railway line runs along the Zákolanský potok and bridges the brook seven times. From Zákolany, the Kladno – Kralupy nad Vltavou railway follows its course, from Mikovice the Kralupy nad Vltavou – Velvary railway also follows .
