Zákolany is a municipality in Okres Kladno with around 540 inhabitants. It is located about 13 km northeast of the district capital Kladno and 17 km northwest of Prague on the Zákolanský potok brook , a tributary of the Vltava . In the district of Kováry is the important Přemyslid castle Budeč .
