history

Bratronice was created in the Pürglitz Forest on an old hunting trail leading from Prague via Zbečno to Pürglitz Castle . Settlement began in the area of today's brickworks in the northeastern part of the village, and the settlers were responsible for maintaining the path. From the regular double-row layout along an elongated Angers it can be seen that Bratronice was later expanded as an Angerdorf .

The first written mention of Bratronicih took place in 1227 together with Hořelice , Dušníky and Chrášťany as the property of the Benedictine Monastery of St. George at Prague Castle . In 1352 the village was named Bratronicz , 1367 Bratczicz , 1369 Brattrzicz and from 1399 Bratronicz . On May 7, 1353, Charles IV gave the village together with Krupá , Žilina and Olešná to the mansionaries of the Church of St. Vitus at Prague Castle. During the Hussite Wars , Bratronice was added to the royal rule of Pürglitz . King George of Podebrady pledged the village in 1460 to the owner of the Okoř estate , Bořivoj d. J. von Lochovice. During the reign of King Ferdinand I , Bratronice and other villages were pledged between 1558 and 1566 to the owner of the Muncifay domain , Jan Bořita von Martinic . Later the village was given to the Lords of Donín as pledge for money loans from the Bohemian Crown . In 1658, Emperor Leopold I pledged the Crown Rule of Pürglitz to Johann Adolf von Schwarzenberg for three years . In 1685 Leopold I sold the rule to Ernst Joseph Count von Waldstein . In 1731 Johann Joseph Graf von Waldstein bequeathed the rule to his daughter and universal heiress Maria Anna Fürstin zu Fürstenberg , who in 1756 united her in a will with the rule of Kruschowitz and the Gut Nischburg to form a family entailment of 400,000 guilders. Half of the inheritance went to her sons Joseph Wenzel zu Fürstenberg-Stühlingen and Karl Egon I zu Fürstenberg, the other half to her daughters Henriette Fürstin von Thurn und Taxis and Maria Theresia zu Fürstenberg. She appointed her second-born son Karl Egon I as Fideikommisserbeer , who also acquired the shares of his siblings through compensation. In 1783 a branch church was consecrated in Bratronice, previously the village was parish to Zbečno . After the death of Karl Egon I, his eldest son Philipp Fürst zu Fürstenberg († 1790) inherited the property in 1787, followed by his children Karl Gabriel zu Fürstenberg († 1799) and Leopoldine Princess of Hesse-Rothenburg-Rheinfels. In 1803, the female heirs renounced a family settlement in favor of the minor Karl Egon II zu Fürstenberg and the princely and landgrave houses of Fürstenberg; Joachim Egon Landgraf von Fürstenberg was appointed as administrator until he came of age in 1817.

In 1843 Bratronitz / Bratronice consisted of 74 houses with 622 inhabitants. The branch church of All Saints and a trivial school were under the patronage of the religious fund. Apart from that, there was a farm with a sheep farm ( Borek ), the Hegerhaus in the Oberstburggräflichen Lipina Forest, the Blackwash Hegerhaus ( Šarváš ) as well as the Podmost Mill or Bridge Mill ( Mostecký mlýn ) and the Rohrschmiedtmühle ( Roučmídův mlýn ) on the Lodenitzer Bach . Until the middle of the 19th century Bratronitz remained subject to Fideikommiss Pürglitz .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Bratronice / Bratronitz 1850 with the hamlet Běleč a municipality in the district Rakonitz and judicial district Křivoklát . After the death of Karl Egon II zu Fürstenberg in 1854, his second-born son Max Egon I inherited the Fideikommiss Pürglitz. Běleč broke up in 1880 and formed its own municipality. In 1932, 808 people lived in Bratronice. In the course of the construction of the Prague line of the Czechoslovak Wall , a bunker was built in 1937 in the embankment of the road bridge over the Loděnice to Dolní Bezděkov. In 1949 Bratronice was transferred from Okres Rakovník to Okres Kladno . On January 1, 1980, Běleč and Dolní Bezděkov were incorporated.
