history

Chyňava was first mentioned in writing in 1341 in a document from King John of Luxembourg as a newly settled village under German emphyteutic law ( zákupní právo ). Chyňava was laid out as a forest hoof village with a wide, 850 m long meadow on both sides of the Chyňavský potok. After the construction of the royal Karlstejn Castle , Chyňava was assigned to the new Karlštejn castle lordship in 1357, to which it belonged until 1585. The residents made a living from farming, guarding the royal forests, charcoal burning and selling charcoal in Prague . The tightening of the farmers' obligations that began after the Hussite Wars led to the fact that by the end of the 15th century numerous farms were in desolation. In 1585 the village was added to the rule of Pürglitz . During the Thirty Years War , Chyňava was plundered and burned by passing imperial troops. After the end of the war, the last Swedish troops passed through the village in 1650 when they withdrew from Bohemia. In the list of subjects according to the faith ( Soupis poddaných podle víry ) from 1651 for Chyňava approx. 80 people between the ages of eleven and 60 years are recorded, of which two thirds were Catholics. 27 farms were managed. 24 hectares of land lay desolate; they were later divided up among new settlers. During the re-catholicization the parish Chyňava was not renewed, the village remained a parish after Železná. In 1658, Emperor Leopold I pledged the crown rule of Pürglitz to Johann Adolf von Schwarzenberg . In 1685 Leopold I sold the rule to Ernst Joseph Count von Waldstein .

In 1731 Johann Joseph Graf von Waldstein bequeathed the rule to his daughter and universal heiress Maria Anna Fürstin zu Fürstenberg , who in 1756 united her in a will with the rule of Kruschowitz and the Gut Nischburg to form a family entailment of 400,000 guilders. Half of the inheritance went to her sons Joseph Wenzel zu Fürstenberg-Stühlingen and Karl Egon I zu Fürstenberg, the other half to her daughters Henriette Fürstin von Thurn und Taxis and Maria Theresia zu Fürstenberg. She appointed her second-born son Karl Egon I as Fideikommisserbeer , who also acquired the shares of his siblings through compensation. After the death of Karl Egon I, his eldest son Philipp Fürst zu Fürstenberg († 1790) inherited the property in 1787, followed by his children Karl Gabriel zu Fürstenberg († 1799) and Leopoldine Princess of Hesse-Rothenburg-Rheinfels. In 1803, the female heirs renounced a family settlement in favor of the minor Karl Egon II zu Fürstenberg and the princely and landgrave houses of Fürstenberg; Joachim Egon Landgraf von Fürstenberg was appointed as administrator until he came of age in 1817.

In 1844 the village of Chinawa or Chiniawa in the Rakonitz district consisted of 149 houses with 1,196 inhabitants. Under the patronage of the authorities was the branch church of St. Prokop, under the patronage of the community the school. The forester's house Chinawa ( Chyňavská Myslivna ) and the Hegerhaus ( Chyňavská hájenka ) lay apart . The parish was Železna . Until the middle of the 19th century, Chinawa remained subordinate to Fideikommiss Pürglitz .

After the abolition of patrimonial formed Chyňava / Chyniawa 1850 a municipality in the judicial district Unhošť. In 1868 the community was assigned to the Smichow district . In the course of the 19th century, the village green was increasingly built, later the Chyňavský potok in the town center was piped. In 1893 Chyňava became part of the newly formed Kladno District . Since 1949 the Chyňava municipality has belonged to the Okres Beroun. In the course of the municipal reform of 1960 Podkozí was incorporated. In the spring of 1968 a coin treasure was found on the village square . In 1980 Libečov , Malé Přílepy and Železná were incorporated (with Lhotka u Berouna ). Železná broke away from Chyňava at the beginning of 1992 and formed its own municipality.
