history

Karst cave Koněpruské jeskyně on Zlatý kůň

Archaeological finds in the Koněpruské jeskyně cave show that the area was inhabited during the Paleolithic Age .

According to ancient traditions, the Zlatý kůň is said to have been a place of worship for the pagan deity Svantovite .

The first written mention of the place was in 1391 in connection with Sudík von Koněprus. Koněprusy was the ancestral seat of the Vladikens von Koněprus. In 1393 Peter von Koněprus taught at the Philosophical Faculty of Charles University and was temporarily also its dean. In 1417 Jan Schenk von Koněprus was mentioned as the owner of the property, in 1420 Hašek and Jindřich von Koněprus and in 1431 Jan von Koněprus. When Peter von Terešov bought the Korno estate in 1437 , Koněprusy owned a share of the estate . With Václav von Koněprus, who had his seat at the Koněprusy fortress since 1455, the lords of Koněprus died out in the male line at the end of the 15th century. King Ladislaus Jagiello left the failed Koněprusy estate together with Popovice to Vaněk von Svárov. In 1544 Jan Karel von Svárov was registered in the land register as the owner of the Koněprusy and Popovice estates. He also owned the Tmaň domain, to which a small portion of Koněprusy remained subordinate. He was followed by his only daughter Katharina and her husband Otto von Loß. This sold the goods Koněprusy and Popovice in 1586 Johann the Elder. Ä. Boogers from Lobkowicz to Točník . His son Georg lost all property in 1593 because of an intrigue against Emperor Rudolf II . In 1594 the confiscated Točník lordship was combined with the Zbiroh lordship and the royal court to form a cameraman whose captain had his seat in the Zbiroh castle.

Another part of Koněprusy belonged to Sebastian Vikhart von Šanov, who in 1593, together with his Vinařice estate, passed it to the owner of the Liteň estate , Wenceslaus Wratislaw the Elder. Ä. sold by Mitrowitz . In 1709 the Counts Wratislaw von Mitrowitz sold this stake to the Counts of Bubna on Suchomasty.

During the Thirty Years' War in 1634 Saxon troops devastated the village, five years later the Swedish army under Field Marshal Banér invaded Koněprusy. After the end of the war, the population that belonged to the Bohemian Brethren was re-Catholicized by the Jesuits . In the berní rula , three farmers and two chalupners are listed for Koněprusy, and another three farms were desolate.

The administration and income of the Königshofer share of the cameraman Zbirow were assigned to the kk Montan-Aerar in 1834 as the kk Montan-Herrschaft or Berg-Cameralherrschaft Königshof. It remained subordinate to the kk Oberamt Zbirow, but was given an administrator.

In 1846 the village Konieprus , also Koniaprußy or Koněprusy , located in the Berauner district consisted of a total of 29 houses with 254 inhabitants. Of these, 21 houses belonged to the kk Montan-Herrschaft Königshof, seven houses to the Suchomast estate and one house to the Tmain estate . The Konieprus inmates Jan Bertůněk and Josef Havlíček owned two marble quarries; The lime burned from it in a field furnace was used for building purposes, as it was characterized by its excellent strength. There was an inn on the Königshofer part. The two Jewish families living on the Königshofer share were subject to Suchomast. The parish was Tmain. Until the middle of the 19th century, the village remained subordinate to the Imperial and Royal Montan rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Koněprusy formed with the districts Jarov and Bytov from 1850 a municipality in the judicial district of Beroun. Because of the long way to school from Tmaň, the municipality had a private teacher teach in Koněprusy. In 1860 a single-storey schoolhouse was inaugurated in Koněprusy, and the children from Bytov who had previously been taught in Počaply were also enrolled in the new school . In 1868 the municipality was assigned to the Hořowitz district . Jarov became independent in 1881. In 1898, the Königshof – Beraun – Koněprus railway ( Drobná dráha Králův Dvůr - Beroun - Koněprusy , KBK), which connected the limestone quarries with the Karlova Huabr cement factory, started operations. In 1900 the village consisted of 51 houses and had 279 inhabitants. From 1920 Bytov also formed its own community. In the 1920s, most of the population converted to the Czechoslovak Hussite Church , the proportion of Catholics sank to seven percent. In 1931 over 300 people lived in Koněprusy. Koněprusy has belonged to the Okres Beroun since 1936. The karst cave Koněpruské jeskyně was discovered in 1950. In the 1950s, the large quarry Čertovy schody was added and connected from the Beroun marshalling yard ( Beroun-seřaďovacího nádraží ) with a standard-gauge connecting railway. 1960 Bítov was incorporated again. The 760 mm small railway Králův Dvůr - Beroun - Koněprusy was shut down in 1962 and the line was later dismantled.
