history

The oldest mention of a royal hunting farm near Počaply was made in 1253 in connection with the death of King Wenceslaus I. The location of this farm is controversial in historiography; Palacký went z. B. assume that it stood on the site of the Králův Dvůr castle. The year 1302 is therefore considered to be the first mention of the village. In the 14th century Počaply belonged to the possessions of Zbiroh Castle . The parish church was first mentioned in a document in 1361, and in 1389 it was designated as a branch church. In 1410 the majority of Počaply was the Burgrave's Karlstein slammed, a small portion of the village belonged to the chapel on the Mies castle. In the 16th century the Lords of Svárov acquired the village and attached it to their Popovice estate. In 1544 Jan Karel von Svárov ( Karl von Swarow ) was entered in the land register as the owner of the Popovice and Koněprusy estates. He was followed by his only daughter Katharina and her husband Zdeněk Otto von Loß. This sold the goods Popovice and Koněprusy in 1586 to Johann the Elder. Ä. Boogers from Lobkowicz to Točník . His son Georg had the Točník rule divided in 1590, while Počaply became subservient to the royal court . In 1593 he lost all property because of an intrigue against Emperor Rudolf II . In 1594 the lords of Točník, Zbiroh and the royal court were united to form a cameraman whose captain had his seat in Zbiroh Castle.

In 1818 a new school house was built. The administration and the income of the Königshofer share of the cameraman Zbirow were assigned to the kk Montan-Aerar in 1834 as kk Montan-Herrschaft or Berg-Cameralherrschaft Königshof. It remained subordinate to the kk Oberamt Zbirow, but was given an administrator.

In 1846 the village Počapl , also Podschapl or Podčaplj , located in the Berauner district consisted of 30 houses with 252 inhabitants. The parish church of the Assumption of Mary, the parish and the school were under the patronage of the authorities. There was also an inn in the village. The nine Metzen ten Maßl Podčapler pond was drained and used as a garden. Počapl was the parish for the villages of Königshof, Bittow , Karlshütten , Popowitz , Trubín, Trubská and Zahořan and parts of Lewin (18 houses) and Swata (14 houses). Until the middle of the 19th century, the village remained subordinate to the Imperial and Royal Montan rule.

Former German school

After the abolition of patrimonial Počaply / Podschapl formed a community in the judicial district of Beroun from 1850. In 1868 the village was assigned to the Hořowitz district . Since the beginning of the 20th century, Podčáply and Počaply were used alternatively as official place names. After the construction of the new Popowitz rolling mill at the Karlshütten ironworks, the Bohemian Mining Society built a housing estate consisting of 20 houses and their own school in Podčáply in 1905 for the German workers in the metallurgical plant and rolling mill. Together with another colony in Königshof, the largest German language island in the Beraun region with several hundred German-speaking residents was created in Potschapl and Königshof . As a result of the population growth, a new, powerful primary school building was built in 1915. Since 1924 the official place name is Počaply. In 1936 the community was assigned to the Okres Beroun. After the end of the Second World War, the German language island became extinct. In 1950 Počaply was incorporated into Králův Dvůr. On January 1, 1980, it was incorporated into Beroun as the district of Beroun-Počaply . On November 24, 1990 Počaply broke away from Beroun and became part of the minority Králův Dvůr. In 1991 the village had 1016 inhabitants, at the 2001 census there were 1156 people in Počaply's 310 houses.
