Kralovice (German Kralowitz ) is a city in the Czech Republic . It is located 23 kilometers southwest of Rakovník in the Rakonice Hills and belongs to the Plzeňský kraj .
geography
The city is located on a plateau on the left bank of the Kralovický potok. The state road 27 leads through Kralovice from Pilsen to Žatec , which intersects with the 201 between Manětín and Zvíkovec and from which the 229 branches off to Rakovník . Kralovice is located on the Mladotice –Rakovník railway line , which is only operated by bus in the Kralovice – Mladotice section.
Neighboring towns are Vysoká Libyně , Hubenov and Hradecko in the north, Kožlany in the northeast, Dřevec, Hodyně and Buček in the southeast, Výrov and Hadačka in the southwest, Mariánský Týnec, Trojany and Bukovina in the west, Olšany and Sedlec in the northwest.
history
Kralovice was first mentioned in a document in 1183, when Duke Friedrich left the market village to the Plasy Monastery . In 1283 the elevation to the submissive town took place. In 1547, Ferdinand I gave Kralovice full city rights.
The owners of the Kralovice estate were the Kolowrat , Griespek von Griespach and Metternich families . After patrimonial rule was replaced, Kralowitz became a district town in 1850 and lost this status again in 1949.

The town of Kralovice consists of the districts Bukovina ( Bukowina ), Hradecko ( Hradetzko ), Kralovice ( Kralowitz ), Mariánský Týnec ( Maria Teinitz ), Řemešín ( Remeschin ) and Trojany ( Trojan ).
