Zürchel ( Lower Sorbian Carchel ) is an inhabited part of the municipality in the Dollenchen district of the Sallgast municipality of the Kleine Elster (Niederlausitz) district in the Elbe-Elster district in Brandenburg . The place was called Cirkel in the 14th century .

geography

The place is one kilometer west-northwest of Dollenchen, two kilometers north of Sallgast, eight kilometers southeast of Massen-Niederlausitz and ten kilometers east-southeast of Finsterwalde . The neighboring towns are Göllnitz and Lug in the northeast, Dollenchen and Danzigmühle in the southeast, Sallgast in the south, Klingmühl and Lichterfeld in the southwest and Lieskau in the northwest.

The first documentary mention of the place comes from September 21, 1394. In this document it is given the name Cirkel.
