Dollenchen [doˈleːnçən] ( Lower Sorbian Dolanje ) is a district of the municipality of Sallgast in the Elbe-Elster district in the south of Brandenburg . The village belongs to the Kleine Elster (Niederlausitz) office and was an independent municipality until December 31, 1997. About 300 people live in Dollenchen.

Dollenchen is located on the southern edge of Niederlausitz , about ten kilometers southeast of Finsterwalde and ten kilometers west of Großräschen . The district of Dollenchen borders in the north on Göllnitz , in the northeast briefly on Lipten , in the east on Wormlage , in the south on Sallgast and in the west on Lieskau . Dollenchen includes the Zürchel district and the Danzigmühle residential area .

The village lies on the route of the federal highway 96 . The Großräschen junction on Autobahn 13 is just under six kilometers from Dollenchen. The Wormlager Mühlgraben flows on the district boundary with Wormlage and at the same time the district boundary between the districts of Elbe-Elster and Oberspreewald-Lausitz .

history

The place Dollenchen was first mentioned in 1360. The remains of former water mills still bear witness to the settlement of the swampy area. The Dobrilugk Monastery ruled the place for a long time . In the course of the municipal reorganization of the state of Brandenburg, the municipality of Dollenchen was incorporated into the municipality of Sallgast with effect from December 31, 1997.
