The village is located in the Opština Valjevo , in the Okrug Kolubara in the historic Podgorina region in north-western central Serbia . Zabrdica is located on the north side of the town of Valjevo above the village of Gornja Grabovica , scattered on the hills and slopes that separate the valleys of the two rivers Kolubara and Rabas . The Rabas flows through the village.

The village area is quite hilly and uneven, consisting of secondary limestone , with some valleys sloping towards the south. The most important and highest peaks in the village are: Brdo, Izvršac, Lisine and Vis.

There are many potable springs in the village area. One of the largest springs is the Krivonož spring , which develops in the village into the Krivonož brook , which flows into the Jasenička Reka . The Vrelo brook spring , which flows from the neighboring village of Gornja Grabovica to Zabrdica, develops with two other brooks into the Krivošija river , which flows into the Kolubara east of the village.
