Zacharzowice (German Sacharsowitz ) is an Upper Silesian village in the municipality of Wielowieś , Powiat Gliwicki in the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland .
General
Zacharzowice has 310 inhabitants. Zacharzowice forms a Schulzenamt. The village mayor is Anna Grala.
The neighboring villages of Zacharzowice are Sieroty (Schieroth) and Pniów (Pniow).
history
Sacharsowitz was first mentioned in 1447. The place name means something like "behind the hills" (mountain: Polish góra , Czech hora ).
From 1936 to 1945 the place was called Maiwald.
In 1999 Zacharzowice came to the new Silesian Voivodeship and the re-established Powiat Gliwicki .
