Wiśnicze ( German Wischnitz , 1936–45 cherries ) is an Upper Silesian village in the municipality of Wielowieś in the Silesian Voivodeship in Poland .

Wiśnicze has 336 inhabitants. The hamlet of Goj (Charlottenhof) belongs to Wiśnicze . Neighboring towns of Wiśnicze are Świbie (Schwieben), Błażejowice (Blaschowitz) and Kotliszowice (Kottlischowitz).

history

Wischnitz was first mentioned on March 6, 1309 as Wisnice. From 1580 to 1610 Wischnitz was owned by Friedrich von Schamberg. This introduced Protestantism in the place in 1578 . Von Schamberg later sold the place to the Toster rule. When the Toster estates were divided up in 1666, Wischnitz and Schwieben passed to Georg Leonhard Count Collona.

From 1975 to 1998 Wiśnicze was in the Katowice Voivodeship .
