Zanja Honda is a town in the Santa Cruz Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Zanja Honda is the third largest town in the canton of Curiche in the district (Bolivian: Municipio ) Cabezas in the province of Cordillera . The village is located at an altitude of 529 m between the villages of Basilio (18 kilometers) in the north and Mora (19 kilometers) in the south.
While the region east of Zanja Honda to the Río Grande, 30 kilometers away, as well as the 10 km west of the village is intensively used for agriculture, further to the west there is an approximately 10 km wide strip of densely forested mountainous country, that of the Río Seco Florida in the south is bounded and in the north by the Ruta 7 between Tiquipaya and Limoncito .

Zanja Honda is located 63 kilometers by road south of Santa Cruz , the capital of the department of the same name.
From Santa Cruz, the paved road Ruta 9 leads south via El Carmen and Basilio to Zanja Honda and on via Cabezas , Abapó , Ipitá and Villamontes to Yacuiba on the Bolivian border with Argentina .
Zanja Honda is also a stop on the railway line between Santa Cruz and Yacuiba, the travel time from Zanja Honda to Santa Cruz is about two hours.
