Targetsiec ( German Gründorf , 1936-1945 Stobertal ) is a village in Upper Silesia . Zieliec is located in the municipality of Pokój in the Namysłowski powiat in the Polish Opole Voivodeship .

Geographical location

Zieliec is located in the north-western part of Upper Silesia. Zieliec is located about three kilometers northwest of the Pokój municipality , about 20 kilometers southeast of the district town of Namysłów and 33 kilometers northwest of the voivodeship capital Opole .

The place is located in the Stobrawski Landscape Park . The provincial road Droga wojewódzka 454 runs through the village .

Neighboring villages of Destinationsiec are in the northwest Krogulna ( Krogullno ) and in the southeast the municipality seat Pokój ( Carlsruhe ).

history

The history of the two villages Gründorf and Krogullno is closely linked. The village of Gründorf was first mentioned in 1309. In 1644 both villages are mentioned together as Krogulna-Grudorf . Since then, both villages have formed as good a common place.

In 1830 a school was set up in Gründorf. In 1845 there was a Catholic school, a farm, a smithy and another 37 houses in the village. In the same year, 421 people lived in Gründorf, 164 of them Protestants. In 1874 the district of Carlsruhe OS was founded, to which Gründorf was incorporated.

In 1907 a brick factory was built southeast of the village. In 1910 the village of Gründorf had 197 inhabitants. In the referendum in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921, 903 voters in Krogullno-Gründorf voted to remain with Germany and nine for Poland. Krogullno-Gründorf remained with the German Empire . In 1933 there were 1,379 people living in the village. On May 19, 1936 the place name was changed to Stobertal . In 1939 Stobertal had 1233 inhabitants. Until 1945 the place was in the district of Opole .

In 1945 the previously German village of Gründorf came under Polish administration, was renamed Zieliec and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950 the place came to the Opole Voivodeship . In 1994 the brick factory in the south-east of the village was closed. In 1999 the place came to Powiat Namysłowski .
